Books, Baseball and Beer

So the baseball season is underway and tonight we started our season of giving at Foley’s, the brainchild of our good buddy Mike Siano we had a night we called “Books, Baseball and Beer.”

With a big shout out to Mark Feinsand, Sweeny Murti, Bryan Hoch, John Flaherty and Meredith Marakovits for taking time out of their schedules to help us raise

Jeff Madelone

money for 2 charities: The Friends of Jeff Madelone (friend of both John Flaherty and Sweeny Murti who’s battling ALS) and Sparrows Nest (a non-profit group that provides meals for families of cancer patients). We are grateful especially because most of them worked late Friday night and were back early Saturday.

It was a packed house and everyone seemed to have a good time and then Bryan and Mark sold copies of their books. As the festivities were winding down former Major Leaguer Frank Catalanotto stopped by. You never know who you might meet at Foley's

This week’s stuffed burger is a slight segue from the baseball theme. To mark the start of the hockey playoffs this week’s burger is “the Phil Kessel,” stuffed with kielbasa and topped with a cilantro & jalapeño-infused queso. We will also be featuring buckets of Miller Lites to honor the only team in town this week: the Milwaukee Brewers. We don’t have “Uecker seats,” but we do have a ball signed by him. So why not stop by whether it’s to cheer Phil and the Pens or to catch your baseball team? We’d love to have you.
