Click here for more about Red Foley... BIOS: Shaun Clancy: Shaun Clancy is a 35 year old father of 2, Ryan (3/16/95), and Emma (1/20/98), and is a 5th generation bar owner. Born and raised in Ireland, he came to America in 1991 and worked in many different capacities in the bar and restaurant scene in NYC, culminating in Foleys. Shaun has been referred to as somewhat of a Baseball Freak, hence the strong Baseball Theme at Foleys. He credits his success to 3 men, Paddy Reilly and Matt Connell(2 of his former bosses, and his father John. His dream for Foleys is an Irish Bar with a Baseball Attitude, friendly staff, warm welcome, great food and drink and a game on each TV. Click here for article about Shaun and Foleys... Walter Gollinge: Born and raised in Flatbush Brooklyn, Walter attended Brooklyn Prep High School. After graduating from Fordham University with a BS in Accounting, Walter started as an auditor before moving into the Publishing Business where he spent 30 yrs before retiring in 95. A father of 3 (Donna, Mark, and Paul)and grandfather of 12 Walter lives happily with Jean his wife of over 43 years in Freehold, New Jersey he enjoys spending time with his family, lunching with old friends, reading and sneaking out to an occasional baseball game with Shaun. John Clancy: Just having turned 70, Shaun's father John is a vital piece in what makes Foleys special. Since leaving Ballyconnell, Ireland in 1952 at the tender age of 17 he has spent a lifetime in the catering business(London, NYC) and the open seas, as John spent many years as a steward on some the most luxurious Ocean Liners: QE1 Queen Mary. John loves to recall his days spent working the famed Rainbow Rooms and Toots Shors restaurants in NYC or the Derragarra Inn in Butlersbridge in Cavan. While John is sometimes shy, if prodded he will reveal that he has a side career as an actor. He is to be seen at the present time on the big screen with Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn in "The Interpreter." Widowed father of 5 (Shaun, Angela, Sinead, Gareth and Norma), he has 6 grandkids and loves to visit the motherland to spend time with his friends and family. |
